Bug Spray Maker Looking To Expand In Saranac Lake

A bug spray maker is looking to spread its wings in Saranac Lake. The Adirondack Daily Enterprise reports the village Development Board approved a special-use permit and site plan review for a bug spray manufacturer on the grounds of the former Trudeau Sanatorium. Carpe Insectae makes all-natural bug repellents for both humans and pets and currently works out of a garage, but wants to move into the 5,042-square-foot building at 600 AMA Way for more space. The owner assured concerned residents that the roads surrounding the site can handle the traffic his business would bring.
