A fire was started early Wednesday by a suspected propane heater malfunction in an apartment above Little Italy on Main Street In Saranac Lake. According to the Adirondack Daily Enterprise, the sprinkler system inside saved the building from flames but also flooded the building. Six apartments in the building were affected, and 11 people were displaced. There were no injuries reported.
