Governor Kathy Hochul today announced that more than 100 New York communities are now certified as Climate Smart Communities thanks to their work supporting local efforts to meet the economic, social, and environmental challenges posed by climate change. This municipal climate milestone, announced in celebration of Climate Week. The village of Lake Placid is on the list, only one in the North Country.
