Unless you were off Monday, you’ve noticed that construction for Main Street in Lake Placid is underway in earnest. Detours will run from April 5 through the end of June during the spring 2021 construction cycle. The Adirondack Daily Enterprise reports trucks and cars traveling through Lake Placid to or from Saranac Lake will be directed to use Old Military Road between Sara Placid Road (state Route 86) and Sentinel Road (state Route 73). Businesses remain open.
