State Police responded to State Route 3 for a motor vehicle crash. A 2001 Suzuki Motorcycle operated by 24-year-old Ivan Irvine of Saranac Lake, was traveling east and attempted to pass a vehicle on the shoulder, when his motorcycle struck guide wires. The motorcycle overturned numerous times and Irvine was ejected. He was initially transported to the Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake and later taken via helicopter to the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington, Vermont, for numerous injuries including several abrasions, and a broken right arm.
