On October 4, 2021, State Police arrested 27-year-old Johnny D. Bailey III of Tupper Lake, following an investigation of a stolen vehicle that was reported on September 17, 2021, at 8 p.m. Bailey stole a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado from a residence on State Route 30 in the town of Malone and drove it to Tupper Lake where he abandoned it. It was located by the Tupper Lake Police Department. Bailey was charged with Grand Larceny 4th degree. He was arraigned in the Malone Town Court where he was released on his own recognizance. Bailey is to return to the Malone Town Court at a later date.
