The Robert A. LaFountain Chapter #179 Disabled American Veterans will finally get a much-needed transport van thanks to an overwhelming show of support by Saranac Central School district students, athletes, faculty and families. The Sun Community News reports it started with soccer teams fundraising and spread from there. In total, students and athletes raised an impressive $28,500 toward the van and local DAV.
