In the days following Christmas, Essex County has reported 30 news cases of COVID on the 26th, 32 cases on the 27th and 46 cases ono the 28th. ECHD also learned today of another COVID-19 related death. The decedent was a resident of Ticonderoga Elderwood nursing home, passing due to complications from their illness and underlying conditions. This latest death brings the total number of COVID-19 deaths to 53 in Essex County, with 12 deaths occurring in December alone.
