The Lake Placid Village Board of Trustees will host a public hearing at their next meeting Monday to discuss retail sales of pot. he board has until Dec. 31 to opt out of allowing cannabis dispensaries and on-site consumption licenses in the village. The board agreed to start the process at their Nov. 1 meeting, more than six months after former Gov. Andrew Cuomo signed a bill into law legalizing recreational marijuana use for adults. The law gave municipalities the option of opting out of allowing dispensaries and on-site consumption licenses by the end of the year.
