There is a severe shortage in the North Country. Anyone who is eligible to donate blood is asked to do so as soon as possible. All blood types are needed, but especially types O positive, O negative and A positive. The Adirondack Regional Blood Center provides 90 percent of the blood used by hospitals in the North Country.
