The Ironman Group, organizer of the Ironman Lake Placid triathlon, is requesting a three-year contract extension that would allow the race to return through 2024. According to the Adirondack Daily Enterprise, the group’s request was made public on Monday during a special meeting hosted by the town of North Elba to discuss approving a contract renewal for the race through 2023.
