Monday afternoon, Troopers were dispatched to a serious personal injury accident involving a motorcycle, that occurred on State Route 86, in the town of North Elba. Investigation revealed Lottie M. Moody, 82 of Saranac Lake was operating a 2012 Jeep Compass motor vehicle westbound on State Route 86, when she failed to yield the right of way causing the 2007 Harley Davidson motorcycle to strike the side of the vehicle ejecting both the driver and passenger off the motorcycle. The driver and passenger of the motorcycle are still in the hospitals recovering from injuries but are in stable conditions.
