Members of the Keene town board held a special meeting recently at Keene Town Hall to appoint a replacement for Councilor Jennifer Gregory Whitney, who resigned on Sept. 13. They chose retired lawyer Chris Daly. The Adirondack Daily Enterprise reports Daly’s letter of interest to succeed Whitney after she resigned was not his first attempt to represent town of Keene residents. In 2021, he lost a close election for town justice to Barbara Dwyer.
