Still no word on suspects or arrests as authorities continue to investigate an abandoned vehicle fire in Tupper Lake just over a week ago where the body of a missing man was discovered inside. State Police said Ross L. Goodenough, 72, of Dexter was last spoken with at his residence at about 5:30 p.m. Oct. 14. His loved ones reported him missing and said he was possibly traveling in a 2009 GMC truck. That truck was found in a field off McCarthy Street October 17th when police were notified of a charred vehicle discovered near the rail trail and Washington Street. Goodenough was later discovered deceased inside.
