On October 9, 2022, Troopers arrested 33 year old James F. Gaffney Jr., 33 of Wilmington, NY for Criminal Contempt.
On October 9, 2022, around 6:05 p.m., Troopers responded to Golf Course Road in the town of AuSable for an order of protection violation. An investigation determined on September 6, 2022, around 7:37 p.m., the victim went to the Family Dollar store located on North Main Street in the town of Black Brook, where Gaffney Jr. was checking out. Gaffney Jr. yelled something causing the victim to look at him. The victim did not entertain Gaffney Jr. comments just continued into the store. On October 9, 2022, Gaffney Jr. went to the victim’s residence knocking on the door. Gaffney Jr. is aware there is still an active stay away order of protection and he should not be at the victim’s residence.
