AdkAction has a community-scale drum composter to distribute at no cost for a North Country site host. The location will be selected by mid-December and delivered as part of AdkAction’s Compost for Good project. Sun Community News reports the large drum composter is capable of processing up to 50,000 pounds (25 tons) of food scraps per year. The location would become a demonstration site, say project organizers.
