Public Hearing On Budget In Tupper Lake

A public hearing on the town’s proposed $3 million budget will be held Monday night at 6 p.m. According to the Adirondack Daily Enterprise, the budget, if approved by the board, is under the state tax cap, includes pay raises for non-union and union employees to reflect inflation, and includes a slight increase to the contract the town has with the village for police services.
To pay for the proposed $3,010,546 budget for 2023, the town would collect, or levy, $1,997,149 from taxpayers, a 1.02% increase from the current year’s budget.
