More than 1,700 homes in the Tri-Lakes lost power during the winter storm this weekend, though service was restored to most by Sunday evening. The Adirondack Daily Enterprise reports the winter storm that hit eastern and northern New York early on Friday, dumped anywhere from 18 to 28 inches of dense snow on the Tri-Lakes through Saturday afternoon. While most people still had power through the afternoon on Friday, lights started to go out around the Tri-Lakes after the snow picked up around 3 p.m.
