The National Weather Service office in Burlington Thursday issued a winter storm warning for the Adirondack North Country region and Vermont, with snowfall expected to be heaviest today and continue into the weekend. According to the Adirondack Daily Enterprise, the winter storm warning is in effect until 1 p.m. Saturday for the region, including the communities of Lake Placid, Saranac Lake and Tupper Lake.
