“Doonesbury” cartoonist Garry Trudeau has released his button design for the 2023 Saranac Lake Winter Carnival. It’s based on the theme “Roman around Carnival,” and shows “Doonesbury” character Zonker as a Roman Emperor The button costs $5 and will be available at a number of merchants in Saranac Lake by the end of this week. Buttons will also be sold during Winter Carnival at its gift shop and history hut, located on River Street at the Lake Flower boat launch.
