A 38-year-old Lake Placid man has been arrested and charged with grand larceny. After receiving a complaint about the theft of a fur coat with a reported value of $3,000, Lake Placid Police say they began an investigation, which, on Feb. 10, led to the arrest of Jeffery M. Ciferri. He has been charged with third-degree larceny, a felony. Ciferri was arraigned in Lake Placid Village Court and released on his own recognizance. He has been ordered to return to court to face the current charge at a later date.
