New York State Police are continuing to investigate circumstances surrounding an injured teen skier on Whiteface Mountain. Sun Community News reports authorities were called to the mountain off Route 86 at about 2:30 p.m. Feb. 11 for reports of an injured 14-year-old male skier from New Jersey. Whiteface EMS and Wilmington Rescue rendered aid to the teen’s head injury before he was taken to the University of Vermont Medical Center in Vermont by Life Flight with what was described as a life-threatening injury.
