Tupper Lake Man Arrested On Menacing, Weapons Counts

A 52-year-old Tupper Lake man was arrested April 21 after a day-long altercation suddenly turned more threatening.
At about 5:20 p.m., Friday, April 21, Tupper Lake Village Police summoned New York State Police to the Larkin Gas Station on Main Street for assistance with an altercation in process. Michael F. Jones had been involved in a verbal and physical altercation that had taken place intermittently throughout the day. Jones was ultimately arrested and charged with second-degree menacing, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, and fourth-degree criminal mischief. He was arraigned in the Village of Lake Court and released on his own recognizance.
