37 year old Garrett C. Hallenbeck of Lake Placid is charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle, and criminal impersonation.
On April 30, 2023, around 11:38 a.m., Troopers responded to Parkside Drive in the town of North Elba for an unauthorized use of a motor vehicle complaint. An investigation determined Hallenbeck was in possession of a black 2012 Toyota Camry when he did not have permission and initially gave authorities a fake name.
