The state Olympic Regional Development Authority Board of Directors on Tuesday approved $38.3 million in new capital projects at ORDA’s winter sports facilities in Lake Placid, Wilmington, North Creek and in the Catskills. The Adirondack Daily Enterprise reports among the newly-approved projects are renovations to the Castle at Whiteface Veterans Memorial Highway; sliding track improvements at Mount Van Hoevenberg; snowmaking pipeline improvements, trail and electrical upgrades at the Whiteface Ski Center in Wilmington.
