Forty organizations have signed up to participate in the annual Lake Placid Community Day and Picnic, which will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, June 4 at the North Elba Show Grounds. Lake Placid News reports This annual event is designed for those who work, live and volunteer in the village of Lake Placid or town of North Elba. It was founded in 2018 to foster the spirit of volunteerism and promote it for future generations.
