The Lake Placid Village Board of Trustees on Monday approved its proposed $6.6 million budget for the 2023-24 fiscal year.
The Adirondack Daily Enteprise reports the tax rate under the new budget will be around $4.60 per $1,000 in assessed value, a decrease from around $5.10 per $1,000 in the 2022-23 budget. For homeowners with a property assessed at $300,000, village taxes would amount to roughly $1,380 per year.
