Franklin County does not have a primary election Tuesday since the Nov. 7 general election is for all local offices. Since there are no state- or national-level elections this year, there is no need for a primary. The Adirondack Daily Enterprise reports there is, however, a primary election today in Essex County. North Hudson town Supervisor Stephanie DeZalia and acting County Clerk Chelsea Merrihew are both seeking the Republican line in the county clerk race.
