Assemblyman Simpson Decries Free Health Care For Sex Workers Measure

The New York State Department of Health is launching a publicly funded two-year pilot program to provide free health care to sex workers. Under the new Sex Worker Health Pilot Program, the $1 million two-year program will provide sex workers in New York City and Western New York with primary health care, therapy and dental care. Assemblyman Matt Simpson said it is hypocritical that we are giving millions in free health care to sex workers instead of helping law-abiding families shoulder the burden of basic health care costs.
