Athletes and community organizations are invited to apply to the Uihlein-Ironman Sports Fund starting this Saturday, July 15. According to the Adirondack Daily Enterprise, the Uihlein-Ironman Sports Fund was established to help athletes from Lake Placid and the Olympic Region achieve their sports dreams and to help nonprofit organizations that foster and promote lifelong sports and healthy lifestyles for local kids. The fund awarded more than $25,000 in grants and scholarships last year.
