The Saranac Lake Development Board approved the first three preexisting short-term vacation rental permits to be issued by Saranac Lake on Tuesday in a quick meeting, as the village begins implementing its new STR law. The process gave the board the opportunity to hash out the details of how this works, fine-tune their participation in the process and get a dry run of how future meetings will go.
