North Country Community College is encouraging local residents to contribute to a pair of initiatives the college has launched to support veterans. North Country is partnering with Paul Smith’s College to organize a Care Package Donation Drive for veterans, which runs until Friday, Nov. 10. Items being accepted for care packages include magazines and pocket-sized mini games, powdered flavor additives, toiletries, protein bars, hard candies, canned meats, instant coffee, Darn Tough socks, and patriotic-themed decorations. Cards and notes thanking veterans for their service are also being collected as part of the drive.
