Gov. Kathy Hochul announced on Thursday $46 million in new state housing grant awards, including more than $7.7 million for organizations and homeowners in the North Country. According to the Adirondack Daily Enterprise, the grants are expected to serve 155 housing units in the region and are targeted at helping low- and moderate-income homeowners repair their homes, modify them for safety or make a down payment on a new home.
