Camp Santanoni’s free Winter Weekends are back, offering a rare opportunity for snowshoers and cross-country skiers to enjoy a classic Adirondack winter wonderland unspoiled by the noise of traffic or snowmobiles. Though usually closed during winter months, the camp’s registered National Landmark buildings will be open to the public from 10 a.m. till 3 p.m. Guides will be on hand to answer questions and lead short tours as Adirondack Interpretive Center (AIC) staff lend snowshoes to anyone without a pair.
