Lake Placid Volunteer Fire Department Saves Dog From Rushing Water

The Lake Placid Volunteer Fire Department made a heroic rescue on Tuesday when they saved a dog caught in the rushing water brought on by Monday’s storm. NBC5 reports the team worked together and was able to safely capture the dog before returning it to its owner, and used the opportunity to remind the public to avoid fast-moving water in light of the heavy downpours across the region.
