Lake Placid Village Police said Maxwell C. Menkel was arrested after he allegedly assaulted someone, tried to keep them from leaving a residence and damaged property inside. Authorities said the victim was able to escape and flee to a nearby residence where Menkel allegedly followed, unlawfully entered that residence, and assaulted another person with a bat. He faces burglary, assault and menacing charges.
