A Saranac Lake man has pleaded guilty to second-degree rape and was sentenced to 90 days in Franklin County Jail and 10 years of probation last week. 23 year old Xavier P. Byno has already served a portion of this sentence in jail and Attorney Peter Dumas, who represented Byno, said he is expected to be released around the end of March. The Adirondack Daily Enterprise reports Byno will be required to register as a sex offender when he is released from jail.
