The Essex County Board of Supervisors passed a resolution urging Congress to continue funding the Affordable Connectivity Program through the Federal Communications Commission beyond April 2024, at its Ways and Means committee meeting recently. The program began in 2020 to help Americans afford internet service during the pandemic. Since then it has been renewed as the Affordable Connectivity Program.
