Residents in the North Country are among those targeted in a new text scam purporting to be collecting overdue toll fees.
Sun Community News reports the New York State Port Authority is cautioning New Yorkers not to click on or engage with the texts presented as an attempt to collect tolls on behalf of ‘NY Toll Services’. Officials said the texts are not an authorized communication from E-Z Pass or any toll agency associated with it.
