Mercy Care for the Adirondacks will host a Friendship Volunteer Training Program to recruit new volunteers, May 15 from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Lake Placid. Sun Community News reports New Volunteers will join Mercy Care’s almost 100 Friendship Volunteers from Lake Placid, Saranac Lake, Tupper Lake and surrounding areas who are helping their elder neighbors stay connected to their communities and making their lives a little easier and happier. Volunteers of all faiths are encouraged and invited to participate.
