Ribbon Cutting For Wildlife Tracking System

The first Motus Wildlife Tracking System in the Adirondack Park will be unveiled on June 1, 2024 at the Uihlein Farm, 281 Bear Cub Lane Lake Placid. Ribbon cutting is scheduled for noon. Motus Wildlife Tracking Systems is an international network of towers that track more than 200 species of tagged animals including songbirds, bats, raptors, butterflies, seabirds and migrating dragonflies. Motus receiver stations throughout the world forward data to a shared site available for research and educational purposes.
