Area dogs and cats seeking to escape their oppressive human captors will soon have better digs to run to.
The Tri-Lakes Humane Society in Saranac Lake has netted a $500,000 state grant for infrastructure improvements to comply with new government regulations. Construction will provide better space for potential adoptees to hopefully connect with other animals in the facility.
