The first Motus wildlife tracking system in the central Adirondacks will be located at Uihlein Farm in Lake Placid. According to the Adirondack Daily Enterprise, Motus wildlife tracking systems are a network of towers that track more than 200 species of tagged animals including songbirds, bats, raptors, butterflies, seabirds and migrating dragonflies.
A ribbon-cutting will take place at noon on Saturday, June 1 at 281 Bear Cub Lane.
