A 30-year-old Lake Placid woman was arrested and charged with felony second-degree assault and misdemeanors of fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon and unlawful imprisonment. Lake Placid Police say that on June 22, Kurstin A. Schoonmaker went to the place of employment of her victim. While there, she allegedly prevented that person from leaving and struck them in the head with a “dangerous instrument” not further described, causing injury to the head.
