The Adirondack Land Trust invites community members to brainstorm ideas for naming its nature preserve at the corner of NYS Route 73 and the Adirondack Loj Road outside Lake Placid. Sun Community News reports the 187-acre preserve is best known for open fields that provide stunning views of the state’s highest mountains within the High Peaks Wilderness Area. It also features shrub and forest habitat and 500 feet of shoreline along the West Branch of the Ausable River.
