Word comes that The Adirondack Center for Loon Conservation (ACLC) rescued three loons July 8 to 11, including one with a fish hook embedded in its mouth and two that were grounded. Sun Community News reports later that week, the Center received two additional calls about grounded loons. The first loon was found on July 10 on Wardner Road in Rainbow Lake, and the second on July 11 on Route 52 in North Lawrence. They were determined to be okay.
