A Malone resident is among three current and four retired U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers arrested in connection with an alleged scheme to misappropriate funds from federal and union accounts. Current and former CBP officers facing charges were executive board members of the National Treasury Employees Union, Chapter 138 in Champlain.
Among those charged, say authorities, is Jamie Goheens, of Malone, facing a count of third-degree grand larceny. .
