The Saranac Lake Central School District Board of Education may assemble a committee to discuss the future of Bloomingdale Elementary School after a consulting firm recommended closing the school in the 2027-28 school year. According to the Adirondack Daily Enterprise, the consultants cited declining local population and school enrollment in their suggestion.
