NCCC Wants To Be Recognized As Permanent Prison Education Program

North Country Community College plans to submit a request in the next six months to reclassify as a permanent prison education program. The Adirondack Daily Enterprise reports the college aims to continue to serve four area correctional facilities — Adirondack Correctional Facility, Franklin Correctional Facility, Bare Hill Correctional Facility and Federal Correctional Institute in Ray Brook — where the college currently offers courses to roughly 120 eligible inmates each year.
