Old Hotel In Tupper Lake To Be Transformed Into Apartments

Two dilapidated properties are being transformed into new affordable housing in the North Country. Last week, state, regional, and local officials gathered in Tupper Lake to break ground on what will become a nine-unit apartment building at the former Plaza Hotel. the Nortehrn Forest Center purchased the old hotel two years ago as part of Tupper Lake’s Downtown Revitalization efforts. The Plaza will be torn down and a 4-million dollar apartment building will be built in its place.
